By registering for a class at Retora, you agree to the terms on this page. We have written them to be fair and open, so that both you and we feel comfortable throughout your speaking journey.
Our service
Retora is a public speaking and professional MC class, delivered online across Indonesia. There are two program tracks. Public Speaking (Fundamental to Signature) for students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and aspiring keynote speakers. MC (Fundamental to Signature) for aspiring MCs working weddings, corporate events, awarding nights, protocol duties, bilingual events, and broadcast. Every session is coached by experienced trainers with expertise in their field. Classes run online through Zoom plus Discord voice for participants anywhere in Indonesia, alongside in-person sessions through coach traveling in 8 strategic cities (Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Solo, Denpasar, Medan, Semarang).
Registration
Getting started with a class at Retora is straightforward:
- You reach out to us through WhatsApp for a free initial consultation.
- We help map out your needs and your target, then we set out the package and its fees in writing.
- Until you approve that breakdown, nothing is binding. Once we agree, we arrange the cohort schedule and your class begins.
Fees and payment
Fees are calculated from the track and level you choose, session duration, sessions per month, package discount, language, group size, and the city for in-person sessions. Every component is set out in writing before the first session runs, including the one-time Rp 95.000 registration fee for new participants. The figure you agree to holds for the whole package; no charge appears later.
Payment is made up front per package period through bank transfer or e-wallet to the official account held in the company name. The Retora team never asks for payment into a personal account.
Package renewal
Retora packages run on Autorenewal so your practice is not cut off midway through the material. Once two sessions or one session remain in your package, the next package renews automatically and the renewal invoice is issued at that same moment.
If you are not ready to continue, simply tell the Retora team before the renewal invoice is issued, and we stop the renewal. Without that word, the invoice is issued and classes continue on the package and schedule already running.
One point worth remembering: the word comes before the invoice is issued, not after. Not sure how many sessions you have left? Ask on WhatsApp at any time and our team will tell you.
Schedule, rescheduling, and cancellation
The cohort schedule is arranged together and fitted around your rhythm. Please arrive on time so each session stays whole.
Need to move a session? Let us know by the day before at the latest, and the session moves to a replacement time without using up your package allowance. Notice given too abruptly may be counted as a session used, because the trainer has already set aside the time and prepared your material.
Cancelling before your cohort schedule and trainer are confirmed carries no charge. Once both have been confirmed to you, the Rp 95.000 registration fee still applies even if the first session has not yet run.
Once a package is underway, sessions already used are recalculated at the non-package session rate, which carries its own terms and differs from the package price. As long as Retora can still provide a trainer and the cancellation does not come from us, refunds are not facilitated.
Materials and copyright
Every drill, worksheet, speech framework material, and class module at Retora is our own work. The materials are given to support your practice journey. Session playback recordings and trainer annotations remain yours, but please do not copy, sell, or distribute Retora materials to others without our permission.
Certificates and credential claims
Once you complete the programme, you receive a certificate of appreciation from Retora as a record that you finished it. It is issued by Retora itself and is not a professional certification. Retora does not run, issue, or guarantee certification from any professional certification body.
Changes to our service
Retora keeps growing. We may update the programs, the materials, and these terms from time to time as the Confidence-Craft-Command methodology develops and the needs of the community shift. Updates will be reflected on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia. Should anything need resolving, we prioritise working it out through good faith discussion first.
